Some special Halloween songs for whatever you have planned for tonight from the prolific Atlas Sound. I'm dressing up as a preppy vampire from Vampire Weekend. Have a spooky night.

Daily routine
[Aliki Braine]
Today, I received some encouraging news that my hard work [combined with, I'll admit, a pretty big c.b.fed attitude] might have paid off. On the same day of course I received two detentions for bunking off, etc. Oh well, one jump forward, two steps back.
I think next year I'm just going to read books, listen to music and write a bit, i.e. do a B. of Arts. I need to relax and just enjoy learning again.
[from You & Me]
Here's a song for the new year hurtling towards us, or dragging slowly, or dawning with promise but apprehension, we're leaving everything behind with a shout, stamp and howl to the clear sky. We won.

Boneless
[Anna Karina in Jean-Luc Godard's 1962 Vivre Sa Vie]
Calling this a remix is dubious at best, it's more like a complete reimagining. The Notwist's brilliant 'Boneless' has been chopped up, added to and mixed around to become something unrecognisable, but even better. Panda Bear has made it a song in it's own right and it's my new favourite. [via I Guess I'm Floating]
P.S. How excited is everyone for Merriweather Post Pavillion?!?!

Asleep at a party
[Nan Goldin's Guido Floating]
Hazy, lazy, lo-fi and shoegazey disco. That is what this new project from Weird Tapes is. Not sure exactly who Memory Cassette is but they're making some of my favourite music at the moment, you can download a whole heap free at the Weird Tapes/Hail Social blog. Another favourite is 'Asleep At A Party'.
Thobias Fäldt
The amazing photography of Sweden's Thobias Fäldt.
Sorry for neglecting blog for so long I've been in the UK visiting relatives but I'm back now!
